Ferrograd Folic 325mg/0.35mg Prolonged-release Tablets are an iron and folic acid medicine used to prevent and treat iron-deficiency anaemia and to prevent folic-acid-deficiency anaemia, for example during pregnancy. Each tablet uses a controlled-release (Gradumet) system that releases the iron gradually over several hours, which can help reduce stomach irritation. When used in pregnancy, it is intended for use only after the first thirteen weeks. It should not be given to children under 12 years. Iron preparations can cause stomach upset, constipation or darkening of the stools, and should not be taken by people who have too much iron in the body or certain blood disorders. Keep all iron-containing medicines out of the sight and reach of children, as accidental overdose can be dangerous.
