The base plate of this hinge is configured to allow 90 degrees of adjustment over the position of the base plate relative to the hinge leaf. This is advantageous where the door and mounting panel are not precisely perpendicular or where adjusting the mounting angle better accommodates a gasket between the door and mounting panel.

These hinges can be installed with matching orientation to allow doors or panels to be removed for improved access. Likewise, they can be installed with opposing orientation for non-removable doors or panels.
