Nurofen for Children 100 mg chewable capsules (orange) contain ibuprofen and are used to reduce fever and to relieve mild to moderate pain in children, such as sore throat, dental pain, earache, headache and minor aches and sprains, and the symptoms of colds and flu. Each soft capsule contains 100 mg ibuprofen and is suitable for children aged 7 years and over (check the pack for the age range). As the parent or carer, give the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed and do not exceed the stated dose. Do not give to a child who is allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or who has had stomach ulcers or certain other conditions listed in the leaflet. If your child's symptoms persist, worsen or last more than 3 days, speak to your pharmacist or doctor. Speak to your pharmacist if you are unsure whether this product is suitable for your child.
