Made from beeswax,  Homestead House Beeswax Salad Bowl Finish  is food safe and can be used around the kitchen on wooden cutting boards, butcher block, utensils, salad bowls, children’s toys, etc - anything you would like to bring back to life. Homestead House Beeswax Salad Bowl Finish can also be used as a sealant for milk painted surfaces, on fine furniture, or on already oiled furniture (i.e. Danish Oil), for added protection.  It dries to a lovely satin sheen.  The Salad Bowl Finish can also be used as a resist is distressing. Coverage:  1.75 oz / 50g covers approximately 100 sq ft. 7 oz. / 200g covers approximately 400 sq ft TO APPLY: Apply with a brush or lint free cotton cloth. Allow to dry for a few minutes then buff. If wood is very dry, apply Hemp Oil prior to this beeswax salad bowl finish. Reapply as needed. Heavily used items may require reapplication every month or two, whereas low wear items every year or two. This is also an excellent sealer for porous chalky or milk painted surfaces and does not yellow the white colours. This product is ideal to use as a resist when milk-painting, to achieve the distressed or crackled and chippy look.  Feeling Inspired?
