HOW TO USE MILK PAINT ( watch our quick How To videos below ): Download our Prep Guide Step 1 - Clean It Clean your furniture piece using Fusion TSP degreaser. If you are painting on a tricky surface that can’t be adequately scuff sanded (metal, melamine, high gloss, glass, veneer, plastic) give your project a coat of Ultra Grip adhesion primer and leave 12 hours (or overnight) before painting. Step 2 – Mix It Combine 1-part water to 1-part powder and stir for 1 minute. A whisk is great for thoroughly mixing your pigments. Step 3 – Paint It Using any brush, apply Milk Paint to your surface. Each coat dries within 15-30 minutes and can be re-coated immediately once dried. Looking for a particular look? Hemp Oil and any of our furniture waxes are great, easy to use options! Achieving A Stained Finish Mixing instructions for a solid, opaque coverage are 1-part Milk Paint powder to 1-part water. If you want more of a stain look,  mix 1-part Milk Paint powder to 3-parts water. Adjust as desired. Too opaque looking? Add more water. Too transparent? Add more powder. Coverage: Fusion™ Milk Paint is available in 50g and 330g sachets. 330g of mixed powder will cover approximately 7 sq.mtrs (75 sq.ft.) Pigment Variation Milk Paint by Fusion™ is crafted by hand in small batches using natural ingredients, therefore natural colour variations may occur.  If you are painting a larger project and requiring more than one package, we recommend mixing the powder together in a larger container in case of any batch variation.  As always, be sure to consistently stir and mix whilst using the paint to maintain colour accuracy.
