Adding to the original line up in Bremont’s Armed Forces Collection is the Broadsword Bronze Tobacco watch which pays tribute to Her Majesty’s Armed Forces through Bremont’s official partnership with the Ministry of Defence (MoD). Nodding to the importance in naval engineering, the bronze case of the Bremont Broadsword watch is both resistant to saltwater and corrosion. The watch’s tobacco-coloured dial is equipped with a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock and central sword-shaped hour and minute hands that have been treated with Bremont’s Super-LumiNova technology for assistance with timekeeping in the dark. The Bremont Broadsword Tobacco watch incorporates 100-meter water resistance into its design and features a sealed 316L steel caseback with embossed detailing. Inside the case is a modified calibre 11 1/2''' BE-95-2AV which provides a 38-hour power reserve and performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The 40mm bronze case construction is delivered with an ultra-thin temporary anti-fingerprint coating and comes completed on a 20mm brown nubuck strap with white stitching. Engineered in Britain, the Bremont Broadsword Bronze Tobacco watch was originally designed as a contemporary take on the three-handed ‘Dirty Dozen’ watch design. The series of watches was commissioned for the British Army during WWII when military personnel of the Ministry of Defence were in need of legible reliable wristwatches to assist with life-threatening decisions.
