Salactol Collodion is a wart paint used to treat common warts, verrucas, corns and calluses. It contains salicylic acid and lactic acid, which soften and gradually remove the hardened skin and help clear the affected area. It is painted on as a liquid that dries to form a film over the lesion. It must not be used on the face, armpits, breasts, the genital or anal area, on moles, birthmarks or hairy warts, and is not suitable for people with diabetes or poor circulation in the hands or feet. It can take up to twelve weeks for resistant lesions to clear, so it is important to continue treatment as directed. Salactol is flammable; keep away from flames.
