StoryThe Mercenary is Miriam Conly, a soldier who fled her troubled past to find purpose in the army. Her loyalty was tested when her unit was consumed by a supernatural Corruption, driving her commander to madness. Forced to choose between blind obedience and her conscience, she became a fugitive. Now operating as a solo contractor in the Hunt, she uses her military skills to combat the Corruption on her own terms, answering to no one.
