It is intended for use in the central tunnel to keep the heat away from the interior. Also for spray walls or other large surfaces. When cut, it can also be good for small applications- For example as heat shield replacement or additive for drive shaft sleeves heat protection. Due to the embossed aluminium surface, the mat can be deformed at will and retains this shape. The special adhesive film ensures that the mat stays where it is supposed to be even at higher temperatures. The glass fibre layer causes an impermeability of the heat, which has already been reflected by the aluminium. In our tests we were able to achieve an insulation of up to 90% of the original heat. The material can be loaded up to temperature ranges, which should not occur in an engine compartment. Designed for radiant heat up to 950°C. The adhesive on the back can withstand up to 230°C.
