During extreme or sudden heavy rain, the system may temporarily reach capacity, similar to a household gutter, resulting in brief overflow. Assembly generally requires 2–3 people and takes approximately 2–3 hours. Installing the pergola on a level, solid surface and securing the feet with the supplied bolts ensures stability, long-term performance, and optimal drainage efficiency. Optional Side Curtains Side curtains can be added to enhance comfort and protection, offering a practical way to create a more enclosed and sheltered outdoor space. Strong Winds / Weather Conditions We highly recommend assembling your pergola during suitable weather conditions. This will help ensure the safety of the pergola, minimize any potential risks during the assembly process, and facilitate a secure and successful installation. Surface Levels PergoSTET pergolas need to be installed on level surfaces in order for their drainage system to work efficiently. Standard 1:80 falls for surface water runoffs on patios are perfectly acceptable. If the fall is significantly steeper than this, installation may still be possible but performance will be affected and warranties may be invalid.
