MacuShield is a daily, easy-to-take food supplement that combines lutein (10 mg), zeaxanthin (2 mg), and meso-zeaxanthin (10 mg) in a unique formula developed in collaboration with leading eye health experts. These three nutrients are found at the back of the eye, at the macula, where they form the macula pigment. Meso-zeaxanthin is particularly concentrated at the centre of this pigment. The macula is a specialist part of the eye responsible for our detailed, central vision. Lutein and zeaxanthin can be found in fruits and dark green leafy vegetables, while meso-zeaxanthin is present in some species of fish and seafood. The macula pigments in MacuShield are obtained from marigolds (Tagetus Erecta), specifically grown for this purpose. MacuShield is gluten-free and cruelty-free, and comes in a pack of 90 softgel tablets, each 15mm x 8mm in size.
