Crusader Kings II The Old Gods is another DLC for the critically acclaimed strategy game Crusader Kings II set in medieval times. In this expansion, you are able to start the game even earlier than before because you now have the choice of beginning your playthrough in 867 AD.

In these years the Vikings started creating new settlements in England, which means that the non-nomadic Pagans and Zoroastrians are now available to play with their new unique mechanics. As a Pagan your authority depends on the amount of claimed holy sites and on the wars you lead as keeping the peace for too long makes your people uneasy. Additionally, as a pagan ruler, you are able to reform your religion for additional perks by capturing and holding at least 3 holy sites.

Play as different Pagan tribes to crush the weak or as a Zoroastrian ruler and regain the power of your religion by capturing holy sites and performing Divine Marriage. Prepare your invasions and pay attention to a perfect timing to start a war as now adventurers and volunteers will join your campaign, so don’t make them wait too long before attacking your opponent.
