Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream is a licensed medicine used to help treat and soothe a range of skin conditions, including nappy rash, minor wounds such as cuts and grazes, minor burns, sunburn, eczema, acne, bedsores and chilblains. It has a water-repellent base that forms a protective barrier over the skin, which in nappy rash helps prevent irritants from urine and stools coming into contact with the skin. Zinc oxide helps reduce the loss of tissue fluid, the lanolin component acts as an emollient to soothe and soften the skin, and benzyl alcohol has mild local anaesthetic and antiseptic properties.
