White tape is very visible to animals such as horses due to its wide, contrast-rich structure, which strongly react to visual stimuli. The white colour stands out against almost any background, which helps to recognise the tape quickly and prevent unwanted contact.

With a low resistance of 0.09 Ω/m, this tape conducts far better than standard 20 mm tape. This is due to two tinned copper wires of 0.25 mm located in the centre of the tape.
