Its 12° bed angle and low cutting angle of 37° excel at working end grain. It has higher side wings ideal for shooting, finger grips in each side for better control, and a combined blade advance and lateral adjust that is the most sensitive and accurate available. Two blade guide screws prevent blade shifting. Its compact 162mm long by 50mm wide ductile cast iron body can take hard knocks and the adjustable nosepiece does not extend past the body. It weighs 790g(1.3/4lb) and includes a lapped 3.2mm thick by 41mm wide, 25° blade in a choice of steels (O1 or PM-V11. For working difficult wood, 38° and 50° bevel blades are also available.
