Turbosound TQ18B – Passive 18″ Bass-Reflex Subwoofer The TQ18B is a compact, passive, single 18-inch subwoofer with a peak power of 4000 W, ideally suited for a wide range of applications involving sound reinforcement for speech and music, in both fixed, portable, and rental audio systems. The TQ18B is designed to work in conjunction with Lake DSP and Lab Gruppen amplifiers, providing optimal FOH performance as well as significant flexibility to easily adapt to various application venue requirements. Various bass array configurations and all presets are available for download.

We spare no effort and take pride in maintaining this reputation by using only drivers designed and manufactured by us, in accordance with our demanding standards.

Enclosure Design The low-distortion enclosure design used in the TQ18B enhances the low-frequency spectrum. Steep cut-off slopes and DLP (Diverging Lens Port) technology ensure effective acoustic transition when used with other elements of the TQ series.

Construction and Connections Finished in a highly durable, semi-matte black paint, the enclosure is made of 15 mm (5/8″) and 18 mm (3/4″) plywood and includes a robust, powder-coated, fabric-wrapped perforated steel grill. The connection plate on the rear panel features Neutrik speakON* NL4 connectors for input connections and linking with additional enclosures. The front grille is also equipped with a Neutrik NL4 connector, enabling neat cabling when the enclosure is set in cardioid mode.

Integration with Lab Gruppen PLM+ With the increasing complexity of modern sound systems, seamless integration with Lab Gruppen PLM+ is a prerequisite for the TQ series from Turbosound. Our engineers have prepared and meticulously designed a series of presets that allow the user to achieve maximum system performance and consistency. FIR filters will be supported on future Lab Gruppen platforms.

Tools for Acoustic Simulation EASE GLL libraries are provided for the predictive EASE Focus 3 software, which is available for free download. This allows for accurate calculation of acoustic coverage and adaptation of the simulation strategy to DSP presets with a choice of traditional front-firing bass arrays, as well as cardioid and reversed end-fire configurations.
