If a character is frightened, paralyzed or unconcious, your players will be able to see at a glance who they need to help.

Because all of the full-colour tokens are made of durable perspex, they are wet-erasable, so you can write additional information straight onto them. The initiative tokens provide a simple solution to keeping track of the initiative orders in the midst of combat.
