70cl / 45% - An elegantly peaty single malt from Nikka’s most northerly distillery. Yoichi initially endeavoured to replicate an older style of Scotch whisky, but this 10-year-old is a quintessentially Japanese whisky, with as focus on balance above all. Aromas of light brackish peat, soot and green orchard fruit on the nose with honeydew melon, almonds and menthol on the palate.
